"Our employment levels have remained steady at 220-230 employees for over three years now. I want to stress that none of our employee’s and their dependents have not missed a dose of their meds.
The 5/1/2019-7/31/2019 period has averaged $13,354 per month, which appears to have normalized. This is an average annual level of $160,248 and represents a 71% decrease from the $549,515 level.
- The 12-month period PRIOR TO SHARx ended 5/31/2018 saw a 60% increase of Rx expense up to a level of $549,515. This monthly average was $45,793.
- We began working with SHARx on 12/1/2018 and our monthly average Rx expense has been $16,000 since then. This amount has INCLUDED some overrides during the transition.
- The $16,000 monthly average extrapolates to an annual Rx expense of $192,000, which is a 65% DECREASE from our level of $549,515.
- In April the dependent of a new hire was on Gilenya for MS. Our plan would have paid $10,282 per month for this drug. Instead we pay $0, yet the dependent still gets the drug they need because of SHARx at $0 cost. If we include this avoided cost, we have saved 81%."
